Bio in brief...

At present, I am a Veterinary Medical Officer (VMO) for USDA's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Animal Care (AC) division. 

In my current position, I help ensure the humane care and treatment of animals covered by the Animal Welfare Act by performing pre-licensing inspections, routine periodic inspections, deficiency follow-up inspections, and special investigations needed in response to leads received on violations. We inspect a multitude of facilities, including animal exhibitors, breeders, dealers, and research facilities.

I have also worked for the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) as a Supervisory Public Health Veterinarian (SPHV) and an Enforcement, Investigations, and Analysis Officer (EIAO). I have a lot of insight regarding veterinary jobs associated with APHIS or FSIS. I am also very familiar with USA Jobs and how to apply for a federal job.
