Bio in brief...

I am presently the Scientific Affairs Manager within the Clinical Department at PharmaJet. We make needle-free injection devices, and partner with diverse groups researching, developing, and testing vaccines and pharmaceutical drugs. In addition, we partner with non-government organizations for mass vaccination campaigns around the world.

I advise partners on pre-clinical and clinical study methodology and animal technique guidance, provide needle-free medical device support, manage PharmaJet's internal research project and publications, and engage in outreach activities including presenting at scientific conferences and serving as the company representative in relevant events.

I specialized in laboratory animal medicine, and am a Diplomate of the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine. During my laboratory animal medicine residency at Colorado State University, I provided veterinary care for animals used in a wide variety of studies, especially in infectious disease research in up to ABSL-3 vivaria.

My PhD at Colorado State University and post-doctoral research at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus focused on virology and vaccine testing, and animal model development including transgenic cat generation utilizing in vitro fertilization and CRISPR gene-editing technology.

I obtained my veterinary degree at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, where I tracked in Public/Corporate and conducted veterinary rotations at the NIH, DoD, USDA, Johns Hopkins University, and AVMA, among others. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Pre-Professional Animal Sciences at the University of Maryland in College Park.

I also actively engage in volunteer and leadership activities including scientific, women, and diversity clubs, scientific policy, scientific manuscript review and guest editorship, and I mentor a wide variety of people, from children in middle school to veterinary professionals and scientific researchers.

In my spare time, I enjoy triathlon, yoga, various outdoorsy activities, traveling, music shows, video games, visiting art galleries, and spending time with my husband and long-haired dachshund.
