Bio in brief...
At present, I am a Foreign Service Officer with the United States Department Agriculture (USDA).
In my current position, as a member of the U.S. Embassy staff, it is my responsibility to ensure that the USDA achieves its mission to provide internationally based animal and plant health expertise, which enhances U.S capacity to safeguard American agricultural health and resolve agricultural trade barriers related to sanitary and phytosanitary issues.
Previously, I have served in a variety of Federal government capacities (USDA, DHS, HHS, USAID, State Department) at the HQ and regional level ranging from policy development, legislative and congressional affairs, and humanitarian aid. Additionally, I also worked overseas for years with the United Nations responding to international emergencies. My primary experience is in disaster response and risk communication.
I have a vast network that could assist students seeking careers in a variety of disciplines. I’m happy to provide insight into international opportunities with the United Nations or US foreign service.
