Bio in brief...
At present, I am the Lead Veterinarian of the Custom Diet Service at JustFoodForDogs, a fresh pet food company based out of Southern California.
In my current position, I work with pet owners and referring veterinarians across the country in making custom-ordered diets for healthy and sick pets through virtual consultations. In addition to this semi-clinical work, I also work alongside staff in the Custom Diet Service and the retail branch of the business to help with optimizing workflow, renovating product offerings, and identifying opportunities for research partnerships and new product development. Lastly, I recently began offering a clinical year externship for 4th year veterinary students at the VMCVM, which has allowed me to give back to the veterinary community and share a behind-the-scenes look at how pet food companies and clinical nutrition services operate.
While I currently work in industry, my career journey so far has taken me through private general and specialty practice, academia, industry, and consulting experiences. I am happy to talk with students or share my experiences in any and all of these disciplines, as it can certainly be difficult navigating all of the options veterinarians have!
