Bio in brief...

At present, I'm working as a Senior Staff Veterinarian (VMO Import/Export) for the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) Veterinary Services (VS).

I work on import policy and permitting in relation to APHIS diseases of concern. Negotiating with foreign governments, agencies, industry, internally, and various stakeholders. I specialize in animal feed and pet food.

Previously, I worked as a slaughter plant veterinarian for the USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). I also am a former IT professional (2nd career), and was a small animal vet.
